Monday, Nov.3

What a difference a day makes! We all had a good night's sleep and Lia is a new girl--only 1 crying jag. She's giggling, smiling, taking it all in.
At breakfast she ate steamed eggs, croissant, and lots of fruit.
We hung out most of the day until we boarded a bus to go to the Notary. It is not that far away, but the traffic here is unbelievable. A few traffic lights would work wonders. We had an "interview" with an official: through our coordinator he asked our ages, occupations, and if we were pleased with our daughter. We were and we are. She's getting even cuter! From there, we went to the police station to have her picture taken, then we went to . . . the Super Wal-Mart! Keep in mind that there are about 50 people in this travel group. It is crazy to get them all up and about and moving and in the right place. I'm glad I'm not in charge.
Wal-mart was a trip--Shane wasn't enjoying it because all the 4 million people who had been honking under our window and impeding our way in the bus were now in Wal-Mart--all staring at us. The people, though, were mosty friendly and smiling and looking at Lia and several sweetly touched her cheeks.
All's well! Today is a "free" day. As one who always stops at roadside attractions and more, I want to find where the Communist uprising was in 1927....we passed it on the bus somewhere.
We're off to breakfast!
